www.preventchildabuse.org  - Prevent Child Abuse America provides educational information on their site and gives you a place to speak out about child abuse.  They also keep track of national legislation on child abuse.

Facts For Families Main Menu American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - This site provides all kinds of articles to help folks deal with children.  I think of it as a child prevention website because it helps parents deal with all sorts of situations.  You can also get help in different languages including Espanol, Deutsch, Malaysian, Polish, Icelandic, Arabic, Urdu and Hebrew. 

National Institure of Mental Health - This site provides information on PTSD and for an article specific to child abuse. 

Children's Defense Fund ~ This site has a wealth of information, looking for facts dealing with child abuse enter abuse in the search.  If you want information to work on an issue nationally hit advocacy.     

Sex Offender Registration for the State of Alaska.

Violent Crimes Compensation Board - The Violent Crimes Compensation Board was established to help mitigate financial losses that are the direct result of violent crimes that occur to Alaskans and visitors to Alaska. In addition, the Board helps to foster victim advocacy and services and promotes victim recovery.

Child Trama Academy - This site is aimed primarily at professionals but everyone can learn something from it.  Their website is located at www.childtraumaacademy.com.

National Center for PTSD  ~ This is the largest site I have found on Post Tramatic Stress Disorder.  You can find an article on Child Sexual Abuse for families and individuals or for professionals working with PTSD.  

Alaska Native Health Board (www.anhb.org) This site has a lot of information.  To find information on Child Abuse and Neglect click on the link on the main page.  This page is done by region as well and can reach the appropriate region for a person who is looking for it.

KEMPE CHILDREN'S CENTER for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect - This site is aimed at professionals in the field of child abuse.

STOP IT NOW  – ...........1-888-773-8368  (9-6 Eastern Time) - They deal with child sexual abuse. They can provide you with publications and they do have someone to talk to you. However, they are not a counselor!
